# Make a product ad from one photo

You can make a short product ad from a single good photo. Shoot it plainly, generate a few scenes around it, add one camera move and cut it to fifteen seconds.

> [card] What you get
>
> A 15 second vertical product ad.

> [card] Time to read
>
> About 4 minutes. Each step works with any toolset.

## What you need

* One clean photo of your product
* A background remover
* An image model and an image-to-video model

## Steps

**1. Shoot one clean photo**

Put the product against a plain wall near a window and take the shot. Then run it through a background remover so you have a clean cutout.

**2. Generate a few scenes**

Ask an image model for three scenes, for example a studio shot, a lifestyle setting and a label close-up. Tell it to keep your product exactly as it is.

**3. Add one slow camera move**

Turn each scene into a five second clip with a single slow move, like a push-in. Simple motion keeps the product steady.

**4. Write three short lines**

A hook for the first two seconds, one benefit, one action. Keep each line short enough to read at a glance.

**5. Cut it vertical to fifteen seconds**

Put your best clip first, add captions and export at 9:16.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Best clip first.** The opening second decides whether people stay. Lead with the shot that looks most finished.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Avoid this: melted labels.** Some clips come back with the label warped. Do not try to fix them in the edit. Regenerate those shots.

### Run this workflow in the open source studio

These skills cover this guide: `@tryvinci/product-reveal-5s`, `@tryvinci/image-generate`, `@tryvinci/video-generate`, `@tryvinci/captions-burn`.

> [tab] Studio
>
> **1. Install and start in demo mode**
>
> ```bash theme={"system"}
> git clone https://github.com/tryvinci/vinci && cd vinci
> python3 -m venv .venv && . .venv/bin/activate && make install
> ./scripts/vinci init --demo
> ./scripts/vinci studio
> ```
>
> Demo mode uses practice providers, so it costs nothing and needs no key.
>
> **2. Open a skill**
>
> Open the studio at `http://127.0.0.1:4310/studio` and pick `product-reveal-5s`.
>
> **3. Connect your own keys when ready**
>
> Add provider keys under **Connect**. Live spend stays off until you set `VINCI_ALLOW_LIVE_SPEND=1`, and every job shows its price first.

> [tab] HTTP
>
> With the studio running, every skill is also available over HTTP:
>
> ```bash theme={"system"}
> curl -sS -X POST http://127.0.0.1:4310/runs \
> -H 'content-type: application/json' \
> -d '{"skill":"@tryvinci/product-reveal-5s","inputs":{}}'
> ```
>
> The studio lists each skill's inputs.
